United Janitorial and Drake Clean Up Systems Sell to JDI Cleaning Limited Partnership
Charlottetown, PE: We are pleased to announce that United Janitorial Inc. (“United”) and Drake Clean Up Systems Inc. (“Drakes” and together with United “UJ Group”) have sold to JDI Cleaning Limited Partnership (“JDI LP”). Former shareholders, Jordan Fraser and Trevor Bevan will remain on as investors in the UJ Group going forward.
Confederation M&A acted as sell-side M&A advisors for UJ Group on the transaction.
UJ Group will continue to be operated on Prince Edward Island with all of its existing employees, led by its management team, including Neala Smallman, Joel Hudson and Kaylah Gormley. JDI LP is excited to work closely with the UJ Group management team to continue expanding the brands across Atlantic Canada, through organic growth and acquisition.
United, based in Charlottetown, PEI, is one of Atlantic Canada’s largest privately-operated, full-service cleaning and building maintenance service providers. United was founded in 1984 and has grown substantially, with a client list that currently includes 400 PEI businesses and a team of over 110 committed staff.
Drakes, also based in Charlottetown, is one of Atlantic Canada’s largest privately-operated, providers of duct cleaning and related services to businesses throughout the Maritimes. Drakes has been helping fellow Prince Edward Islanders breathe easier with services for dryer vents, duct work, HVAC and heat pump cleaning since 1989.
JDI LP is a portfolio company of TrussPoint Equity Partners (“TrussPoint”). JDI LP owns J.D.I. Cleaning Services (“JDI Cleaning”), an established and growing market leader in the Ontario commercial cleaning industry.
