Mallett’s Radiator Service Transitions to New Ownership

Charlottetown, PE: We are pleased to announce that previous owner, Donald Mallett, has sold Mallett’s Radiator Service (“Mallett’s Radiator”) to Chris Dalziel, effective March 23, 2022, in a deal facilitated by Confederation M&A, a mergers & acquisition firm with offices in Charlottetown, Fredericton, Halifax and Ottawa.

Mallett’s Radiator offers re-cores, repairs, and replacements of radiators whether they’re part of an internal combustion engine system, a cooling motor in a refrigerated trailer, farm equipment, heavy equipment, truck or trailer. In addition to the radiator work the business offers full-service air conditioning and heater repair, including repairs and replacements of air conditioning condensers, heater services and air conditioning recharging.

The business was started by Donald’s grandfather, Elmer Mallett, in 1932 and originally operated on Great George Street where the Jean Canfield building is situated today. Donald’s father, Ralph Mallett, took over ownership of the business in 1970. Donald began working in the business in the 1980’s and by 1986 Donald was brought in as an owner in the business.

“The business has been in the family for over 90 years,” said Donald Mallett. “I’m proud to have owned and operated the business over the last 35 years and I’m appreciative of the staff that have been by my side throughout the journey. I’m also grateful for the many long-standing customers that have been returning to the business over the years and I know that they will be well taken care of by Chris and his team.”

Chris Dalziel, also the owner of Pro Color Collision Charlottetown and Dalziel’s Detail Center, is very familiar with Donald’s business as he has sent many vehicles Donald’s way that require radiator service or repair over the years. “I’m excited about this opportunity as Mallett’s Radiator offers many synergies to our current service offering at Pro Color Collision Charlottetown,” shared Chris Dalziel. “Donald’s reputation is second to none in the industry and I’m thrilled to continue working to serve current and future customers of Mallett’s Radiator.”
