Jardine Auctioneers Welcomes Manager and Auctioneer, Blair Sissons, into Ownership Group

Fredericton, NB: Jardine Auctioneers is pleased to announce that current automotive manager and professional auctioneer, Blair Sissons, has acquired an ownership stake in the business, in a deal facilitated by Confederation M&A.

Jardine Auctioneers was founded in 1982 and established permanent residency in Fredericton, NB, in April 1998. The company operates a weekly automotive auction, monthly timed miscellaneous auction and five heavy equipment auctions annually along with having a transportation division (JA Towing & Transportation) and an appraisal division (JA Appraisals). The 135-acre facility is located at 1849 Route 640, Hanwell Road, in Fredericton, NB.

Blair, in his 10th year with Jardine Auctioneers, has been a key resource in the company’s success and will no doubt continue to be successful as he ventures forward as an owner. Blair’s new role as Chief Operations Officer will see him continue his work with current consignors, establish new business relationships along with working hand in hand with all the staff to deliver 5-star service to customers.

Blair joins Frank and John Jardine in ownership of the business. Frank, co-founder and co-owner, will be taking a step back from his day-to-day duties. “I have been in the auction business for over 40 years and while the passion is still there, I must accept the fact that it’s time to take a step back. Blair has proven to all of us that he is fully committed to the long-term success of the company and I have zero doubt that Blair will succeed in his new role.”

John, President and co-founder/owner, believes the timing is right for both Frank and Blair. “It cannot be understated how important a role my father has had in our company’s success which is why this is a bittersweet time for me. Having said this, I’m excited to welcome Blair into his new role and to work with him as we continue to grow. Blair has built solid relationships with the team here at Jardine’s, along with our consignors and buyers and I am confident this transition will be seamless as we move forward.” John’s new position will be CEO of the Jardine group of companies and he will continue to focus on securing long-term business relationships.
