Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Woodstock, NB, transfers to New Ownership

Woodstock, NB: We are pleased to announce that owners, Peter and Janet Clark, have sold Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park (“Jellystone Park”) in Woodstock, New Brunswick, to Matthew Jelley.

Jellystone Park is the number one family fun camp-resort in New Brunswick. The 80-acre campground features over 140 sites, 32 cabins, and many family fun attractions, including waterslides, a multi-level water zone with 37 interactive water features, heated pools, target tag game, a jumping pillow, mini golf, playgrounds, and much more. Peter and Janet opened the campground in 1982 as Kozy Acres Campground and proceeded to join the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Franchise system in 1996. Today, the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Franchise has over 75 Jellystone Parks across Canada and the United States and has been recognized many times as the top franchise for family camping. Over the years, Peter and Janet have made considerable investments in the property which truly shows in the infrastructure at the campground today.

Matthew Jelley, hailing from Prince Edward Island, is no stranger to family fun attractions. Matthew is the President of the Maritime Fun Group (PEI) Ltd. (“MFG”) which is comprised of over 20 properties primarily in Cavendish, PEI, including Sandspit Amusement Park, Shining Waters Family Fun Park, and Cavendish KOA Holiday Campground. His brother John operates Magic Mountain in Moncton, NB. MFG, owned by the Jelley, Dunville and Hickey families, is the largest portfolio of privately-owned attractions in the Maritimes. MFG has over 500 valued employees and contributes significantly to the tourism sector within the Maritimes.
