New Ownership at Maritime Precast Products
Charlottetown, PE: We are pleased to announce that Trent and Catherine Cousins, owners of Maritime Precast Products, a business based in Spring Valley, Prince Edward Island, have sold to Adam and Christina Devries.
Maritime Precast Products is a precast concrete manufacturing facility set up to mix its own concrete and use various forms to create precast concrete products to order. The business started in 1997 to supply the agricultural industry and gradually diversified its product offerings. Trent and Catherine purchased the business in 2011 from Lea Schurman and have further expanded product lines servicing customers from agricultural, government contracts, consumer and commercial products and rebar.
“Catherine and I would like to thank our valued customers who have trusted us over the years. It has been a privilege to operate Maritime Precast Products and develop products to suit the needs of our customers. We could not have operated and grown our business over the years without our employees who are all dedicated to quality workmanship and excellent service,” said Trent. “We are thrilled to have found a buyer like Adam, and we know he will continue to provide the same quality service that our customers have come to know.”
Adam Devries is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over a decade of experience ranging from public practice to financial and operational management – he has worked with large international firms as well as local companies. Recently, Adam operated his own boutique accounting consulting firm, offering customized financial and operational management support.
“Both Lea and Trent should be very proud of the business they’ve started and built,” shared Adam Devries. “I am excited to take on the challenge of carrying on this great Island business and working with Trent and Catherine during the transition.
